Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting.
In a spacious mixing bowl, add the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts. Pour in the extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a sprinkle of salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Toss the sprouts thoroughly to ensure each piece is evenly coated with the flavorful mixture.
Transfer the seasoned Brussels sprouts onto a baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer to promote even cooking. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts turn crispy and develop a beautiful golden-brown hue. Be sure to stir them halfway through to enhance even roasting.
While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, it’s time to create the honey Sriracha glaze. In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey and Sriracha sauce, stirring well until they meld into a smooth, glossy mixture. Adjust the level of Sriracha to suit your spice preference.
Once the Brussels sprouts are perfectly roasted, carefully remove them from the oven. Drizzle the honey Sriracha glaze over the sprouts and gently toss them to ensure each one is thoroughly coated in the sweet and spicy goodness.
Return the glazed Brussels sprouts to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes. This step will allow the glaze to caramelize slightly, enhancing the overall flavor and texture.
After the final roasting, take the tray out of the oven and let the Brussels sprouts rest for a couple of minutes to cool slightly before serving.
When ready to serve, transfer the glazed Brussels sprouts to a beautiful serving dish. Garnish generously with sesame seeds and finely chopped green onions for an added crunch and vibrant color.
Notes
Adjust Sriracha according to your heat preference.
